Presentation and Board Action on Agenda Item 1:

ACCEPTANCE OF REAL ESTATE: PINECREST
SUBDIVISION

Explanation:
In accordance with Board Rules and Regulations and
the university policy on Gifts, Loans, Endowments and
Bequests, the university is authorized, with prior
approval of the president and ratification by the board
of regents, to accept gifts or devises of real property.
State law further provides that the “board may
acquire land, including the improvements thereupon”
and such acquisition may be by “grant, purchase,
lease, exchange, gift, devise, or by condemnation”.
The board will consider the acceptance of real estate
adjacent to the university property in the Pinecrest
subdivision.
Recommendation:
It is recommended by the administration that the
Board of Regents accept Lots 16, 19 and 20, Block 5,
of Pinecrest subdivision from Carol Dubberly Offield,
Marilyn Rhinehart and Emmett Dubberly.

Presentation and Board Action on Agenda Item 2:
1515 BAKER STREET PROPERTY PURCHASE

Explanation:
The university has an opportunity to purchase
property located at 1515 Baker Street. The property
is located next to a recent acquisition on East Starr
Avenue.
Recommendation:
The administration recommends the purchase of
property located at 1515 Baker Street, Nacogdoches,
Texas.
The administration further recommends
approval to pay associated closing costs. The source
of funds for the real estate and closing costs is
designated funds.
