You can study English as a Second
Language for six months or less as a
visitor without a study permit provided
you are at least 18 years old.
If you want to study English for more
than six months, you need to get
student authorization before you leave
your country.
The school will provide you with a
letter of acceptance. In order to
provide a letter of acceptance, St.
George’s Centre for ESL will require
the following information from the
student:

The ESL Activity Donation of
$5.00
(payable by cash) will be collected at
registration. This donation is collected
once a year to support non-academic
services, social events, and school
trips.
Registration into the school is done by
appointment. Original passport and
applicable Visa must be presented at the
time of registration. After registration, the
learner will have a placement
assessment. Based on the results of the
assessment and class availability, a
schedule will be created.
An invoice for tuition will be prepared.
Please note that the tuition for the
term must be paid in full prior to the
start of classes.
Certificate of Attendance: $10.00
Please note that if a certificate is
required, the school office will require
ten business days before the student’s
last day of classes to prepare the letter
or certificate.
Our classes are non-credit,
non-intensive and settlement-focused.
Due to current high demand for
English language training,
classes may be filled in the
Spring Term.

Before Starting Classes
Deadline for registration in the
Spring Term is May 6, 2016.
Payment can be made by cash, debit
card, credit card, or cheque on a
Canadian bank account.
