Stephen F. Austin State University SFASU Faculty Senate Resolution on Hiring an Energy Conservation Consultant (Resolution 2001-02.07) WHEREAS, studies demonstrate that 20-25% of an institution’s energy is wasted due to inefficiency, and WHEREAS, the National Parks System, the White House, and other federal systems have implemented energy saving policies, and WHEREAS, institutions such as Baylor have implemented a plan after consultation with Sempra Energy Services of Houston, Texas, and WHEREAS, federal grants are available for hiring consulting firms, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Stephen F. Austin State University and the Board of Regents hire an energy saving consultation firm to evaluate the University’s energy use.
