Rationale: The changes are intended to reflect current practice and to refer students to the Co-operative Education website ratherthan to a list of graduate programs that needs on-going revision. The name reflects the co operative relationship among the University, employer and student. Practical experience from work terms is related tothe student's major interests within the graduate program. A number of graduate programs have been approved, bythe relevant graduate program committee, for co-operative education (co-op). These are listed below. chemistry (MSc) economics (MA) environmental toxicology (MET) mathematics (MSc) resource and environmental management (MRM) statistics and actuarial science (MSc) The list ofapproved programs is subject to change. In addition, some faculties may permit co-op work terms for individual students on a case-by-case basis. Interested students should consult the co-op co ordinator. The application to enrol inco-op is subject todepartmental approval. Each department has a specific course for the co-op work term or practicum.
