26TH GUELPH SCOUTING GROUP:
Interested in joining BEAVERS, CUBS, SCOUTS, VENTURER… JOIN US this 2015/2016 Scouting year. Wonderful
program for Boys and Girls ages 5 to 17 years. We are a very active group, spending time outdoors, learning
leadership skills, working towards earning badges, attending many camps throughout the year and much more.

social/meeting date changed to Thursday December 17, 2015 @ 7:00 pm in the Community Room (side entrance
of KHPS) all are welcome to help plan our next community events Youth Nights and other upcoming
recreational/family events planned for 2016 year.

 KHNG Youth Gift Making Night – Create gift worthy crafts to gift a friend or family member, 7-9pm, 8+

drive.

We need volunteers to assist with KASP “Kortright After School Program” and planning of social/events. Get
involved and share your ideas and talents to help bring our community together. For further information contact

KHNG QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER:
KHNG also sends a newsletter out four times a year, next issue January 2016. If you wish to advertise your
business (sponsorship fee will apply), share your favourite recipe with your neighbours, write an article of
interest, you are a student looking to offer your services (ie: babysitting, cutting/raking the lawn or garden work)
and wish to put your ad information in our newsletter E-mail khng@bellnet.ca.
This is a great way for Kortright Hills Neighbourhood to come together by sharing thoughts, talents and services
available, neighbours helping neighbours. Next KHNG newsletter is January 2016, deadline for e-mailed
submissions December 15, 2015.
26TH GUELPH SCOUTING GROUP NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS:
26th Scouting Group is looking for parent volunteers to assist our leadership team with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

Are you interested in digital photography? The photo club is for you. We meet the first Monday evening of each
month in the community room @ 7 pm. Bring your talent and share your photos with our group.

KHNG GARDEN FRESH BOX PROGRAM:
Garden Fresh box is a non-profit produce buying program; provides
customers with affordable fresh fruits and vegetables; supports our
local farmers; Box changes with Ontario’s growing season, but runs
12 months of the year; we include as much locally grown produce,
optimal taste, freshness and nutrition; monthly newsletter offers
recipes and cooking tips to help you prepare meals; everyone is
welcome to participate in the program; typical boxes contains 9-14
vegetables/2-5 types of fruit; $20 large box and $15 small box
How it works: Place your Garden Fresh Box order by email to KHNG; Pay for your box by the 1 st Tues of each
month between 3:30pm & 5:30pm at the KHNG Community room (cash only please); Pick up your Garden Fresh
Box on the 3rd Wednesday of each month - between 5 & 7pm at KHNG Community room and enjoy! (Remember
to bring your reusable bags to take your fruits and veggies home); before you leave pre - order & pay for your

“Kortright Afterschool Friday Activity” (KAFA)

Welcome to KAFA!!
You are invited to attend KHNG NEW Program “Kortright Afterschool Friday Activity” KAFA!
During each 2 hour session we will provide a healthy snack and planned martial arts program directed
by Sensei Arthur Kerrey. This structured program will involve 9 weeks of Ninjutsu techniques in a multi
age environment, warm ups, cool down, stretches, etiquette, a few fun martial arts games and free play
5:00 to 5:30pm. We ask that all youth registered wear loose comfortable clothing each week, draw string
waist recommended and no tank tops please.
*JK and SK students will be escorted to the community room after school by a KAFA staff member
Parent/Student Volunteers Needed!
If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please contact KHNG. Volunteers learn along side
KAFA students.
To register, please fill out the registration form attached and submit to Leone
at the KHNG Community Room by 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Registration deadline for this NEW
Program is Thursday December 10th, 2015.
