What Does It Mean To Be
A Blue Hen?
It’s About Personal Responsibility!
Alcohol Regulations And Drug Policy
•
You can only drink if you are 21 or older and in
a private area.
•
The University does not permit driving while
intoxicated or public intoxication.
•
The possession of anything involving a drinking
game (such as a beer-pong table) is against the
Code of Conduct.
•
Even if you are off campus, the University can
take action for illegal alcohol use. You are a
Blue Hen no matter where you are!
•
The University follows all laws related to
drugs and drug paraphernalia and will charge
violations through the Code of Conduct. The
misuse of prescription drugs is not tolerated!
Safety First!
Alcohol In The Residence Halls
It’s your
responsibility to
seek medical
attention for a
fellow student in
trouble. If you
don’t, your friend
could end up in a
much worse
condition and you
could be charged
with violating the
Endangering the
Safety of Others
policy.
•
The University is not a “dry” campus, so, if you
are 21 or older, you may have alcohol in the
residence halls. However, the following
limitations apply:
o Any open containers must remain in the
residence hall room.
o Alcohol cannot be given to an underage
person (including roommates).
o You can't have a keg in the residence
halls.
•
If you have a guest who is 21 or older but you
are not of legal age, that guest cannot drink in
the residence halls.

However, kegs and drinking games are prohibited at
all times.

Once the game begins, you may not bring alcohol
into the stadium or continue to drink outside.
