SCHOOL COUNCIL YEAR END AND
FINANCIAL REPORT
The year end annual report and the financial report are
included in this newsletter for your reference.
OUR WELL AND DRINKING WATER
We are one of the 14 schools in our district that gets
their drinking water from wells. All of our other
schools are on municipal water systems.
The Province’s Drinking Water System Regulation
(Ontario Regulation 170/03) requires us to test the
water at our school regularly and provide an annual
report. The report covers many aspects of the
drinking water system and includes information on its
performance, operation and test results.
You can come into the school office and get a copy of
this report, or go to the board’s website
www.ugdsb.on.ca/dw to see our annual report and
those for the other sites.
The regular testing helps ensure that the water supply
in our schools continue to be safe and of a high
quality.
TEACHER APPRECIATION (DISHES)
STUDENT TRUSTEE SURVEY
Thank you so much for the absolutely wonderful
feasts you provided us on the PA Day. It was
scrumptious and much appreciated. We have a
variety of dishes in the office that we would like to
return to families. If you brought in a dish and you
have not received it back yet could you please give us
a call at the office, or claim it when you are in the
school next.
The Ontario Student Trustee Association is asking all
students and teachers and parents of grade 4 to grade
12+ students to participate in their short Ontario
Student Parent Educator Survey. It will only take a
few minutes. It's important to have all voices heard.
The survey is on line at http://www.studentsurvey.ca
There are prizes to be won, too, and iPad and $200.
This message comes from our student trustees and the
Student Senate.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Volunteers of the Upper Grand District School Board
Another school year has come to an end, and with it comes the anticipation of a fun-filled summer with
our children!
This year has been a difficult one for sure and, as co-chairs of the Parent Involvement Committee, we
wanted to take a moment to acknowledge your contributions to your child(ren)’s schools. We know
that you work hard to partner with the schools and teachers to create an optimal learning environment
for the students and for that we are grateful. This year was especially challenging and we were so
impressed to see how many volunteers stepped up to the plate to provide continuity for the schools and
the children.
Looking ahead to next year, we are excited to see the momentum of parental involvement move
forward and continue to enrich and enhance the education experience for the students of the UGDSB!
Thank you again for all you have done, and continue to do, for the benefit of our students!
Sincerely,
Martha MacNeil and Axy Leighl
