Wow, June is here already!!!! Time has
really flown in the past month, as there
have been a wide range of activities
happening in our school. Our Petite
Blanche kick-off assembly and
subsequent classroom activities have
been a wonderful opportunity for our
students to explore the Arts! A big, big
thank you to Deanna Kruger and Karyn
Boscariol for the enormous amount of
time and effort they have spent
organizing and supporting these events.
What a wonderful community we
have!!!! We also hope you will join us
for the culmination of Petite Blanche,
on June 20th, from 5:00 to 8:00 at the
school. It will be a great night for kids
and adults alike!
Other activities that we have enjoyed
include our floor hockey league and
team, bike rodeo, Sharks swim program
for our grade 3 and 5 students, Blue
Spruce and Peuplier celebrations,
chore-a-thon fundraiser, computer club
and beach day! Our ultimate frisbee
league and team, track and field team,
standards day, and primary play day are
all exciting upcoming events we look
forward to participating in. Aussie X, a
company based in Toronto, will also be
visiting our school to teach students and
staff how to play netball and footy.
One of the main benefits of our
Aussie X experience will be the
emphasis that will be placed on
participation and activity, as opposed
to specifically on skill development.
Students of all athletic levels will
enjoy and benefit from this engaging
experience!
Congratulations to our grade 6
students for their hard work on the
EQAO test and to our grade 3
students that will be writing the test
this week! We know you gave your
best effort! Thank you to all of our
volunteers and staff that supported
the students over these 2 weeks!
As a reminder, please ensure that
you are sending your child to school
with refillable water containers, as
hydration during these very hot days
is important.
We look forward to celebrating our
final month of school with you.

MEDICATION FOR SEPTEMBER
If your child is taking any kind of
medication at school, it will be sent
home on Thursday, June 27TH . Any
medication left behind will be
discarded. Please note that if your child

ATTENDANCE CALLS
If your son/daughter will be absent or
late for school, please call the school at
519-822-0675 ext 100 and leave a
message, this is available 24hrs – 7 days
a week. The office staff is spending a
great deal of time contacting families
who have a child absent from school
with no reason. Also we require calls
each day of your child’s absence…for
example if they are ill on Tuesday and
then again on Wednesday we require a
call each day, for safety reasons we
cannot just assume they are still unwell.
Your assistance with this would be
greatly appreciated. Your child’s safety
is our number one concern.
