Facilities and Membership Services Coordinator
G
ood day SFA! I hope this
newsletter finds you doing well.
My name is Kenneth Norris and I
am the Facilities and Membership Services
Coordinator for the Student Recreation
Center. I was born and raised in Texas with
degrees from The University of Texas (BBA)
and The University of Houston (M.Ed).
Although those are my Alma mater, SFA has
found a place in my heart. My role here at
Stephen F. Austin State University is to take
care of the beautiful new Student Recreation
Center we have been blessed with and to
take care of the needs of our members.
As you know, we have two very different
membership groups at the recreation
center with our student population and our
faculty/alumni population. My goal is to do
my best to take care of both! With that being
said, if you ever have any questions or need
anything please do not hesitate to contact
me. I hope you are all doing well keeping up
with your news years resolutions and hope
to see you in the recreation center soon.

In the News...
Although most of us were on break during the winter holidays, progress was made
in the Student Recreation Center. As most of you know, the locker room showers
received a face lift in the form of new tile floor. The locker room showers have had
issues draining since we opened so we brought a contractor in over the break to
solve this issue. I trust you will be happy with the result, but if you see any other
issues, please send them to campusrec@sfasu.edu so we can take care of them.

March is National Nutrition Month
Tip of the Month
Want to keep your skin healthy?
Keep SWEATING!
Exercise is good for the body in more
ways than one. Sure, it helps you get
fit and build stronger muscles, but
new evidence suggests working up
a good sweat may also help fight off
skin infections.
Researchers from Eberhard Karls
University in Tuebingen, Germany
have discovered that human sweat
contains an antibiotic called
dermacidin that is capable of limiting
disease-causing bacteria such as
those responsible for skin infections
such as impetigo. For more helpful
tips visit www.acefitness.org.
