Hour Requirements
A minimum of 120 semester hours with at least 42 semester hours of work at SFASU; must
include 42 or more semester hours at the advanced level (300 and 400 level courses); at least 36
of these 42 advanced hours must be taken at SFASU; at least 12 advanced hours in the major
must be taken at SFASU.
Electives
There will be 8-10 hours of elective coursework open to the student.
Writing Intensive Requirement
Nine (9) semester hours of work in courses designated as being writing intensive.
Grade Requirements
A grade of at least C in each freshman English course; a C average at SFASU; a C average in
first major courses taken at SFA; a C average in minor or second major courses taken at SFA.
