Petition for Major/Minor Change (submitted by Dr. Weber for discussion related to low productivity
data)
"Degree program" means any grouping of subject matter courses which, when
satisfactorily completed by a student, will entitle him to a degree from a public
senior college or university or a medical or dental unit. "Degree" means any
title or designation, mark, abbreviation, appellation, or series of letters or
words, including associate, bachelor's, master's, doctor's, and their
equivalents, which signifies, purports to, or is generally taken to signify
satisfactory completion of the requirements of all or part of a program of study
leading to an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctor's degree or its
equivalent; and,
"Certificate program" means a grouping of subject-matter courses which,
when satisfactorily completed by a student, will entitle him to a certificate,
associate degree from a technical institute or junior college, or documentary
evidence, other than a degree, of completion of a course of study at the
postsecondary level.
