Power Meters

Improve Thermal Unit Performance and Visibility with a Simple Factory Install, or a Hassle-free Upgrade

HVAC energy costs are a signifi cant expense in datacenter operations. Liebert Power Meters provide an easy-to-use solution to cut costs, through increased unit visibility, and fi ne tuning of the control to optimize unit performance.

Liebert Power Meters allow you to proactively monitor power quality issues.

These compact, intelligent power meters are available on new equipment at time of order and are retrofi table on existing Liebert equipment with AM/AG and

Liebert iCOM controls.

Factory programmed power meters are easily integrated into existing Liebert Thermal equipment with AM/AG or

Why do you need a Liebert Power Meter?

Hassle-free:

Easy integration to remote monitoring using the Liebert IntelliSlot Unity Communications Interface Card.

All meters are factory programmed, requiring no fi eld confi guration.

Application-specifi c design cuts down on site integration time.

Information is easy to read on the Liebert iCOM local display.

Easy to install plug-and-play retrofi t kits for existing Liebert iCOM and AM/AG controls.

The meter is DIN-rail mounted for fi eld retrofi ts. DIN-rail and other mounting hardware included with the meter.

Improves Visibility:

Line voltage and device current.

Accurately calculate data center cooling effi ciency.

Monitor power consumption before and after making changes to your control setup to pinpoint the highest payback strategy for your data center.

Provides a tool to identify issues with installed components such as motors and compressors.

Real Cost Savings Through

Optimized Performance:

You may qualify for energy rebates – check with your local electric company.

Minimize downtime by proactively monitoring power quality issues that could negatively impact unit performance, and taking corrective action.

Monitor real time power consumption to calculate ROI on energy saving upgrades such as EC or VFD upgrades, Liebert iCOM control enhancements and Optimized Aisle. Useful tool to improve facility power factor.

Power Meter Options:

Analog Power Meter – Provides remote monitoring of kW. These devices can be connected to existing equipment with

AM/AG controls. One meter may be installed to monitor total kW or up to four meters may be installed to monitor individual component consumption.

Modbus Power Meter – Up to six meters may be installed on Liebert iCOM controlled equipment with 416761G3 control boards and later. These meters provide local and remote monitoring of:

Liebert iCOM to meter connectivity status.

Input under voltage event notifi cation.

Input RMS voltage leg to leg and leg to ground Input current for each phase.

Energy consumption in kilowatt hours (kWH).

Instantaneous power in watts (W).

Unit shutdown protection if a phase is lost.

The addition of a Liebert ® Power Meter to existing or new Liebert Thermal Management systems enhances the visibility of your data center thermal systems, and allows optimization of efficiency and availability.
