Avocent introduced the first KVM over IP appliances back in 2000. Many improvements and enhancements have been added
over the past nine years and many of the core features are now carried over to the new fourth-generation appliances. The latest
appliances include an updated and improved local interface, higher video resolution support, better serial device support and
more available memory and processor capacity for future enhancements and capabilities.
