CNY Region Annual Meeting Tuesday, April 16, 2013 Burgundy Basin 1361 Marsh Road Pittsford, New York 14534 The Region will be hosting speaker sessions relating remote sensing applications to GIS at the GIS/SIG 21st Annual Conference. The CNY Region Annual Meeting will immediately follow the GIS/SIG conference at the same location. Agenda: Networking reception with hors d'oeuvres and Business meeting Student of the Year Award Presentation Swearing in of new Officers State of the Society Address by Dr. Stephen DeGloria, President of ASPRS. State of the Society Address Stephen D. DeGloria is Professor of Resource Inventory and Analysis, and Director, Institute for Resource Information Sciences, Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, at Cornell University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in geographic information systems, environmental information science, GPS, and spatial modelling and analysis. His research focuses on improving the resource inventory process through the application of aerospace imagery, mapping land cover conditions and trends using digital imagery and geospatial databases, and integrating resource inventory data for use in spatially-explicit predictive models of agro-environmental processes in temperate and tropical landscapes.
