elements in ceilings and walls where high strength is needed or

Relax
drying technique
®
Relax drying technique is based on the use of large quantities of
steam in the drying process, which gives a considerably better
drying result compared to conventional kilning In the Relax drying
technique steam is initially used to heat up the timber, which
minimizes the shake formation Steam is also used at the end of
the drying process to level out the moisture content, and thus
giving a tension free timber
Relax drying technique can be used on all
products with a target moisture content of
14 percent or lower

The NTR/AB protected wood

wind or con­densation but is not in contact
with soil or water and where replacement of
damaged portions and personal safety are
not the foremost concerns.

freshwater constructions (docks, etc.).

The treatment contains copper and a quaternary ammonium compound as the

processing cannot be avoided. For indoor protection, a breathing mask (half mask with
P2 particle filter) is recommended.

Exterior cladding
Exterior cladding is very suitable for outdoor construction and
facings where there are special demands on quality and dura­

bility.
The wood fibre from dry-split and fine-textured northern Swedish
spruce gives the boarding naturally high d

Surface-treated
exterior cladding
As a building’s outer shell, exterior cladding is vulnerable, being
exposed to weather and to the changing seasons, with their
varying temperatures and humidity. UV radiation, pollutants and
micro-organisms, including mould and algae, are examples of
external factors that reduce the durability of the wood. To efficiently
protect the timber and prolong durability, it is important to surfacetreat the wood while it is fresh.

of alkyd- or acrylate-based top coat.
When the industrially surface-­treated
