Because this course is meant to educate physicians with what is currently in use and what may be available in the future, there may be “off-label” use discussed in the presentations. Speakers have been requested to inform the audience when off-label use is being discussed. Purpose and Content "Digestive Disease Week" is a comprehensive meeting focused on the gastrointestinal tract. A vast array of cutting edge research, new clinical trials, and review material is presented. The purpose of this course is to review in a focused manner the most important developments presented at "DDW". By participating in this course, physicians will not only remain abreast of the latest developments in the field, but also they will improve their diagnostic and therapeutic skills. The format of this symposium will be a series of lectures given by experts in the field on a variety of topics, presented in a balanced, unbiased manner.
