General Function: Supports departmental efforts to capture and manage external resources to support the programs and services of the college. Facilitates the grant proposal development process and tracks activities. Performs a variety of standard to moderately complex administrative tasks in support of Department’s daily operations. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Serves as the Department liaison and informational resource for faculty and staff to facilitate the grant proposal development sequence including; scheduling project team meetings; interpreting and clarifying agency rules and regulations, obtaining support documents, and monitoring proposal development activities. 2. Creates, updates and manages the administrative record for proposal development activities and enters all pre-award information into the department’s grant activities database. 3. Maintains an accurate timelines of all proposal development activities to ensure that project planning events and agency deadlines are met. 4. Researches funding opportunities and tracks RFP cycles. 5. Coordinates the final production of grants including; internal review and approval; copying; binding; distribution; and mailing. 6. Performs a variety of tasks including; scheduling and coordinating meetings, greeting and receiving visitors; monitoring inventory; maintaining spreadsheets; maintaining Department’s files; and making travel arrangements. 7. Assists in the department’s budget process by monitoring budget lines, maintaining spreadsheets, processing timesheets and compiling information for budget requests. One year experience in proposal production. Certified Grants Manager (CPGM) or related certification preferred. Excellent budgeting and planning skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Working Conditions: Typical office environment.
