The design, engineering, supply and fabrication
with ASME U Stamp of 4 nos of Reactors under a
purchase order awarded by Parsons Fluor Daniel
(PFD) for Second Generation Project, Tengizchevroil
(TCO) Kazakhstan.
These Reactors are 280 tons each, 7500mm dia,
33mt long and are the heaviest pressure vessels
ever manufactured at Çimtafl Gemlik Works.
Process Skids
The assembly and testing of process skids and
modules mainly for oil and gas industries, including
supply and fabrication of associated structural
steel, pressure vessels and piping systems as
well as complete E&I installation and insulation.
Çimtafl has assembled process skids up to 610
ons with 65m in length, 13m in width and 7m in
height.

Enercon GmbH of Germany through a mass
production line with 90% welding automation,

and erection of highway and railway steel
bridges.
The fabrication and erection of the New Golden
Horn Steel Bridges, ordered by IHI of Japan, one
of the world’s leading steel bridge contractors,
were completed by Çimtafl in 16 months, combining
advanced engineering expertise with a highly
skilled workforce and the latest manufacturing,
erection and information technologies.
Using advanced technology including CNC, PLC
equipment and nine-axis robots, Çimtafl Gemlik
Works fabricated two units of steel bridges over
he Golden Horn in ‹stanbul in 11 months. They
had a total weight of 7.340 tons, composed of
74.000 steel elements, assembled by 242.000 m
of welding and sustaining 462.500 bolt holes in
SNTF Railway Bridge (Algeria)
a configuration of 184 blocks, each of which was
3,2x4,0x9,0 m. Following the on-shore preassembly of the blocks, which involved pairing
up two blocks into one of 18.0 m length, erection
was also completed in 11 months over eight
spans on both land and sea by means of bolting
and welding, with the longest span reaching
139,5 m and the heaviest lift weighing 100 tons.

The design, engineering, supply, fabrication and
assembly of field-erected storage tanks with various
capacities for gas and petrochemical industries.
The most recent cylindrical storage tank project
ncludes the field erection of 2x140.000 cum
LNG Storage Tanks, capacity wise the second
argest in the world as of 2001, for EGEGAZ LNG
Terminal located at Alia¤a-‹zmir, Turkey, successfully
completed within 18 months. The LNG Storage
Tanks are designed by CBI as per API 620 and
have a total steel weight of 7.000 tons, the inner
ank steel material being ASTM A553 Type 1
requiring advanced welding technology. The very
unique feature of the project is the lifting operation
of the tank roofs. Following the ground assembly,
he tank roof with a single piece weight of 800
ons and a diameter of 80 m has been lifted to its
inal position at +35 m by means of compressed
air blowing.
