*JOB DESCRIPTION
Principal Duties and Responsibilities







Assists with business risk assessment and performs IT audits and special projects under supervision for
assigned departments to ensure accuracy, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and efficiency of
operation.
Prepares comprehensive work papers and files to support IT audit opinions and findings.
Assists financial/operational audit staff in establishing IT applications to evaluate business risk.
Designs IT audit tests for operating controls and compliance.
Analyzes data and operations for indications of deficiencies in controls, fraud, or lack of compliance with
laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
May work with external auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the external IT auditing function
May perform other duties as necessary.
Job Specifications









Working knowledge of IT audit theory, practices and commonly used concepts.
Working knowledge of tools and techniques needed to review and assess controls in computerized
information systems and their environments.
Good understanding of the risks and controls in information technology products (i.e. Client/Server, ECommerce, Networking, Internet, Data Warehousing, applications, etc.)
Strong technical skills, and knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and audit software.
Basic project management skills.
Experience using Access, Excel, and desktop tool technology.
Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
Continuing education requirements associated with certification.
Meets the standards for this position, as defined in the Talent Management framework.
Additional Comments:
Additional preferred knowledge and experience includes:

Mainframe, distributed, or network configuration, maintenance, development, and/or testing experience.

Good understanding of risks related to existing and emerging information technologies (i.e. mainframe,
distributed, networking, data warehouse, SaaS, PaaS, mobile technologies, information security, disaster
recovery, application development, etc.)

Participation in projects related to the implementation of new technologies and business applications,
offering consulting and advice to Company management.

Position will be filled at the Auditor-IT or Senior Auditor-IT level depending on experience and qualifications.
*JOB REQUIREMENTS
Travel:
Approximately 10% travel required.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or IS/CS preferred, or Associate degree with
experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience:
Requires 2+ years experience in auditing, systems, or insurance.
Certification:
Requirement to pursue professional designation or advanced degree – CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA,
CFE, or Masters Degree.
