Scenario
A group of management trainees have recently joined your company and you have been asked
to prepare a presentation on the current theories of leadership and management and leadership
styles for them.

Task:
Create a set of PowerPoint slide with accompanying speaker notes in which you cover the
following:
 Characterising the concepts and nature of management and the function of leadership
 An evaluation of the concepts and definitions of leadership and their influence on
management
 An evaluation of the influence of effective and ineffective leadership and management on
team behaviour and business performance.
You need to make sure you cover the topics listed in the unit specification content section for
learning outcome 1.

Task:
Add to the PowerPoint slides and accompanying speakers notes you create for task 1 material
