Proforma Proposal - Major Implementation Activities The following activities and deliverables are the core of GCR’s standard NuclearIQ implementation methodology. Contract Negotiation and Approval Project Kick-off Project team meets to map out the implementation schedule and perform an application architecture review. Team discusses data mapping and migration activities. Initial Data Migration Client staff populates the Data Mapping Template Document provided by GCR for any changes in naming conventions or data organization from the old system to NuclearIQ. GCR receives client data and business rules in agreed upon format along with completed mapping document in order to populate the NuclearIQ database. GCR develops data migration routines per business rules and populates NuclearIQ database. GCR conducts testing and internal validation of data migration. Development / Test Environment GCR delivers the NuclearIQ database to client and supports initial application setup and configuration in a test environment. GCR provides Administrator Training to familiarize those responsible for site administration with the NuclearIQ application forms and operation. Client performs data validation using comparisons between NuclearIQ and existing system. GCR will correct any deficiencies in the data migration associated with a faulty migration process. Any additional data sources or mapping document omissions will result in a change order to provide additional data migration services. Client completes initial application configuration with GCR assistance including Analysis definitions, schedule requirements, and trend plot definitions. System Customization Client identifies calculations and reports to be configured or developed by GCR to support initial implementation. These tasks should be defined by a Requirement Specification document supplied to GCR by Client. NuclearIQ is initially delivered with standard reports for Completed Task Report, Unreviewed Data Report, Out Of Specification Report, Lab Notebook Report, Night Orders Report, Transaction Log Report, six different Schedule Reports, Schedule Requirements Report, Analysis by System Report, Consumable Materials Report and Chemical Inventory Report. Calculations within NuclearIQ are performed using the features of Microsoft Excel. GCR will work with Client staff to configure NuclearIQ to use existing Excel documents to accomplish the same functions currently used with the existing data management system. GCR will develop site-specific Calculations and Reports added to this list GCR will assist in the configuration of external processes and interfaces from compatible laboratory equipment, gamma spectroscopy systems, process instrumentation, PI systems, LabStats Pack QA/QC software, EPRI software, etc. to supply data to or retrieve information from the NuclearIQ database and application. Preparation for Production Operation Client performs user acceptance test of the NuclearIQ application for Go-Live scheduling. Client prepares and performs basic configuration test for Production environment. Production Activation Client delivers updated mapping document, current Development NuclearIQ database and current database to GCR for final data migration. GCR performs final data migration. Client performs acceptance test in development environment. Client places database on production server and performs final acceptance test in Production. NuclearIQ is released to the users in Production. Go Live Support GCR provides on-site support during Pre-Production and Production activities. GCR will remain on-site for three to four days following the initial move to production in order to ensure stability of the NuclearIQ application. Task\Responsibility Assumes full responsibility for the NuclearIQ software and will fix all application bugs Provide client database to NuclearIQ mapping template Populate the client database to NuclearIQ mapping document Provide client database to database Backups for Initial Migration Develop migration routines for moving client data to NuclearIQ Populate initial client NuclearIQ database(s) Provide data migration summary documentation Provide minimum server specifications for database and IIS servers Determine storage location for NuclearIQ application and database(s) (new or existing servers, physical hardware or virtual machines) Provide installation instructions, database backup file, application files, user manual, and test plan template to Client (Application files will include a test, stage and production files for three-tiered environment to support move to production) Restore database and configure NuclearIQ application files to access database in a development environment Conduct 1 week on-site administrator training class for a maximum of 20 trainees. GCR will supply two trainers for this training. (See Training Activities topic for GCR Client Task\Responsibility description) Provide computer lab and plant computers for Administrator training class Validate data migration Correct data migration errors associated with the GCR migration process Complete NuclearIQ setup for site specifics such as Trend Plots and Plot Groups, Schedule Requirements and Repetitive Task Schedules Identify external interface needs to NuclearIQ from devices such as Plant Information (PI) server, in-line instruments and gamma spectroscopy system Identify site-specific reports to be developed in NuclearIQ Identify site-specific calculations to be developed in NuclearIQ Develop identified site-specific calculations Establish and test interfaces to external devices (gamma spec, PI, etc) Develop agreed upon site-specific reports Conduct 2-day end-user training class for two weeks for up to 20 trainees per class. (These classes may be two 2-day classes per week for two weeks or one 2-day class per week for two weeks during which time GCR will train the Client training staffs to complete additional classes as necessary to support the application move to production) Complete end-user training cycle beyond the contracted two week period. Configure and test the Stage and Production environments to support application move to production Finalize the schedule for the move to production and provide timeline to GCR Provide week long on-site support for move to production Deliver current Conduct move to current NuclearIQ development database backup and Client database backup to GCR for final migration Final Data Migration of Client data to NuclearIQ for production Return production database to Client Restore production database on Stage environment for final User Acceptance test Correct User Acceptance Test deficiencies Signoff Final User Acceptance Test Restore final migration database to Production environment Release application URL to clients for Production use. GCR Client NuclearIQ Site license, Implementation and Support Investment. The implementation is performed on a fixed-fee basis, and is priced per site (not per unit). Software, Data Conversion Program and Interfaces NuclearIQ Software License Per Site for SQL-SVR or Oracle Lowest price in the industry by far, call for specifics Historical Data Conversion – Mapping, Programming Included System, Report, and Calculation Configurations and interfaces NuclearIQ Site Administrator Training (1 week – travel and per diem included) Included Initial Data Conversion – Site Production Support Included NuclearIQ End-User Training (2 weeks – travel and per diem included) System Production Deployment (1 week on site – travel and per diem included) Continuing Support Commitment for one full year Included Included Included Included NuclearIQ Hosting Option for your Consideration: Hosted Computing Deployment Option: (no additional cost for first year – available for a limited time) 1. GCR will provide NuclearIQ in a fully hosted environment the cost of which is included for the first year – includes multiple instances of SQL-SVR to support Development, Staging, Production, Failover servers with appropriate hardware and RAID storage 2. Client will provide local 32 or 64 bit client PCs for access to the application and suitable internet connectivity. GCR will provide the NuclearIQ solution including SQL-SVR rdbms included in the hosted solution. 3. Local interfaces to gamma spec, and other databases and instrumentation, are fully supported as if the servers were local. 4. Full data security is provided as if the servers were local, and application availability is provided at a guaranteed service level. Full details will be provided. 5. After first year, Client can elect to deploy the application in-house on Client servers, or continue the hosted option and exact costs will be passed along Among the benefits of this hosted approach to deploying NuclearIQ are: Immediate provisioning and implementation of hardware and infrastructure, in place and available to use, and flexibility to instantaneously adjust hardware resources as conditions warrant to assure desired response and processing times The solution avoids internal IT costs often added to the NuclearIQ investment and allows the plant to proceed with the fully support NuclearIQ solution without additional costs
