XXX was my own freelance project management consultancy focused on embedding real change in the way
public sector organisations operate. Notable projects included:
- Transition Project Manager: Department for Health (date - date)
 Ran the project management office for the drink and drugs policy teams
 Wrote specs to set a minimum price for alcohol then provided financial management project support so the
department could deliver all objectives set by the policy teams
 Introduced project management methodologies to the research and development teams
 Liaised with the Department of xxx and xxx to ensure alignment with all legal policies and directorates
 Wrote business cases to justify funding for job rehabilitation centres

- Consultant Programme Manager: Transport for London - XXX Directorate (date - date)
Tasked with executing three separate major change programmes: the London Congestions Charging Zone, the
Low Emission Zone and Bus Lane Enforcement. Key challenges were tendering a £45M project through three
external funding streams and managing such a large amount of stakeholders.

Part of the Council's Environmental Department, Street Scene covers a wide range of high profile services aimed
at building safer communities and urban regeneration including waste management, recycling, street cleaning,
parking enforcements, pavements and lighting. Successful completion of this complex turnaround project involved:







Ascertained key drivers for change and set realistic deliverables
Directed ten managers
Used a collaborative approach to establish alignment and cohesion between three separate trade unions
Ran two major OJEU procurement campaigns

Secured over £2M in three separate grant funds

fraud

Working on three separate investigative and change management projects for the borough, I also coordinated
positive PR and press campaigns for their new business unit launches.
- Tasked with improving the Customer Services Department, I worked closely with an IT firm to monitor and
analyse call data then introduced a successful call-waiting system which greatly increased productivity,
reduced call times and raised customer satisfaction levels.
- Investigating the misuse of Blue Badges, I prepared cases in line with PACE and CJA for prosecution, liaised
with in-house and external legal teams and carried out PACE interviews and RIPA surveillance.
- Supporting a project to outsource the Council’s parking department, particular challenges included managing
delicate union relationships and overcoming resistance to change.
