JOB OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT TITLE: Director, Digital Marketing DEPARTMENT: Marketing REPORTS TO: Vice President of Property and Partnership Marketing JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Digital Marketing will spearhead and drive the digital marketing strategy and technology platform for our property marketing teams. The Director of Digital Marketing will stay on top of and ahead of the latest digital trends and articulate digital concepts and solutions interdepartmentally in a clear and compelling way. This role serves as a key member of the marketing team and will work with departments across the company to accomplish digital and social media goals and objectives. The Director of Digital will: Develop and implement a digital strategy that differentiates PREIT Malls in the industry and supports the company’s overall strategic goals and marketing plan with a focus on driving sales and building brand loyalty. Identify, propose, lead, develop, implement, and maintain a proactive result driven, digital and social media campaigns including digital assets, mall websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms. Orchestrate all digital touch points and be responsible for driving collaboration in the development and execution of property focused digital marketing and mobile application strategy. Lead design thinking and ensure success of product innovation and digital initiatives that create and promote customer loyalty, drive traffic and increase brand awareness. Educate and inspire Property Marketing Directors on digital opportunities and best practices. Partner with Corporate Communications to define key business challenges and needs in the digital space and to ensure alignment between property digital marketing and the corporate digital marketing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, deliver and execute successful social media, digital and mobile marketing campaigns (SMS, QR, Ads, Contests, etc.) and measure ROI. Provide strategy and direction on all digital platforms for property marketing teams. Set priorities and measurable objectives/goals for all digital and social media platforms. Drive ongoing benchmarking, web and social media metrics, and analytics to support databased decisions for web and social media platforms. Evaluate emerging social and digital tools and platforms and how they can be used to advance business goals. Develop emergency plans and protocols for crisis communications management through web and social media platforms. Leverage understanding of web and social media strategies to become a market expert and leader for all things digital and social media related in the retail real estate industry. Establish priorities and manage workflow for the team. Establish, maintain, and manage 3rd party technology partners Foster a team-oriented, results-driven environment Qualified Applicants will have: BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in designing digital strategies and social engagement programs. 3-5 years of experience selling in numerous social media programs to top C-level executives. 3-5 years of experience helping brands tell their stories in different ways in different channels through an integrated mix of paid, owned and earned content. Infectious energy for building best in class customer experiences and passion for driving customer loyalty. Strong experience in multiple industries, QSR and Retail is a plus. “Big Picture” mentality. Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns. Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative / editorial copywriting experience a plus. Forward-thinking and highly collaborative. Experience managing digital production. Experience managing projects on top of monitoring social APIs. Ability to succeed in fast-paced large, corporate environment with many cross functional partners.
