JOB DESCRIPTION JOB DETAILS Job Title: Location: Reports To: Telesales - Account Manager Crewe Group Ops Director OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The role of the Account Manager is fundamental to the success of The Company as they are the primary source of gaining new Sources and growing business with existing Sources for the company. The job demands the ability to develop and deliver a structured sales plan. Working independently and as part of a team the role involves working to stretching sales targets and deadlines to recruit new Sources of all types and also to identify and develop new sales initiatives for existing Sources that will sustain growth for The Company. ORGANISATION Immediate Superior – Immediate Subordinates – Group Ops Director None PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Work with the internal sales team to plan, develop and deliver an achievable and stretching sales and marketing plan for Source recruitment. Plan, organise, and be responsible for all aspects of The Company Sales within the designated area to achieve company and personal targets Plan, organise and prioritise sales activities, personal efficiency and productivity in line with the sales business plan. Recruit new Sources to achieve agreed targets. Create and maintain a contact database for prospecting and follow up in order to establish a continuous sales approach. Monitor and report on market and competitor activity. Compilation of weekly/monthly sales reports to Directors. To effectively communicate with internal departments any activities or influences within your operational area that may effect the overall business of The Company. PRINCIPLE DUTIES (the detail) Create sales opportunities by cold calling, research and marketing. Ensure this is communicated to the internal sales team for their recording and information. Follow up potential leads. Account Manage your dedicated sources. Create and deliver effective sales proposals, presentations and material to recruit new Sources of all types. Work effectively with the Internal team to ensure new Sources are serviced in line with the agreed sales proposal. Develop effective working relationships with all internal and external The Company teams and departments. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY Understand and embrace the concept of ‘empowerment’ and be willing to make decisions without referral that fall within agreed parameters. With input from your line manager, negotiate and agree with potential Sources, price structures for the supply of specific products/services that fall outside of the agreed The Company price structure. Agree appropriate steps/action to resolve complaint issues. Negotiation skills with a proven track record of achievement. Knows the Motor Industry Ability to manage a sales territory region as an independent business area. Ability to plan and manage time and resources systematically Ability to conduct meaningful communication and build relationships at all levels within Source organisations from operational staff to senior management. Demonstrate sound judgment together with commercial awareness. Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and self-motivational skills. Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, implement and deliver business objectives Ability to use initiative at all times and make decisions when necessary Be PC literate having a good knowledge of Microsoft office.
