Tech Boot Camp: Learning Objectives

Log in to Network
After you turn on the laptop, the network login screen will be the first one that
you see. It is blue.
When the log in screen pops up, you will log into the Anna Network.
Your username is your six digit student ID.
Your password is your first initial, last initial, and your student ID.
For example: If I were a student- Amanda Vest: 123456
My username would be 123456.
My password would be av123456.
The first initial is your LEGAL FIRST NAME.
Your last initial is your LEGAL LAST NAME (If you have two, it will be the one
that comes first.)
Navigate Anna Middle School Website
Go to www.annaisd.org
At the top, you will see a menu bar. If you scroll over the word Schools, you will
see the option for the Middle School. Click There.

You can either look under School Staff or Classroom Assignments to find

Our Calendar: Has all assignments for class as well as any dates for tests or events
Assignments: Includes the assignments and instructions for class
Sites that will help you out: Includes links to helpful sites (such as your textbook online)
Files for Class: Includes any files that are handed out in class for you to download and print
Announcements: Any big important events that I don’t want you to forget
Class information: Rules and Policies for class

Saving and Uploading in Microsoft Word
Go down to the bottom left of your screen and look for this
Under the tab “All Programs” find “Microsoft Office”
Then find the sub-tab that says “Microsoft Word”
Saving in Microsoft Word
Type up your document.
When you are finished with it, you have two options for saving:
A. “H” drive
B. Flash Drive
A. The “H” drive is only available when your laptop is connected to the Anna
Network. It is not available at your home.
B. Your personal Flash drive is an excellent place for you to save documents,
but you are responsible for keeping up with it and saving correctly.
Saving in “H” Drive
A. The “H” drive is only available when your laptop is connected to the Anna
Network. It is not available at your home.

Click Save
Saving on a Flash Drive
B. Your personal Flash drive is an excellent place for you to save documents,
but you are responsible for keeping up with it and saving correctly.
