Something special …so I called up my good friend “Albert Castiglia” and he was very much interested in co-writing the tune and singing some lines and playing slide. The song is about a loner who must break away from what’s been draggin’ him down. Whether it is in his mind, or on the streets. Both of us are more than happy with the end result and this is a side that most of our fans don’t get to see. ‘Heart Of My Father” This slow blues track is dedicated to my father who passed away when I was only 3. I never knew my father, only from stories my mother would tell me. My father was a guitarist and my mother was a singer in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They were traveling musicians and loved each other and the music they played…. a type of “Western Blues”. They only made one record together. At the studio I had the idea of splicing together a song that he wrote and she sang on. So, thru the magic of technology…. I was able to perform with my father on this track. His lead playing and presence, along with rhythm guitar, and accordion, start off the song and end it. I’m very proud of the track and hope he would be too. “Let’s Not Fight, Let’s Make Some Love” A barn burner straight ahead shuffle-groove. The title says it all “Hangin’ On” One cool rock and roller…A song about keeping and holding onto to faith and to never quit. Whatever that faith may be to you, ….hold onto it close and never let go. Faith is all a man has. ‘Try” This is a ballad that I’m also proud of and hopefully gain some new fans for it. Just alone and acoustic and from the heart. www.jdandthehowl.com www.Facebook.com/jdandthehowl www.twitter.com/jdandthehowl www.YouTube.com/jdandthehowl jdandthehowl@yahoo.com
