Enrichment Grant Application Form Completed forms should be sent in Microsoft Word format to Ying-Fei Chen at yfchen@wesleyan.edu. What is being offered: PCSE Enrichment Grants are intended to subsidize experiences for selfmotivated students who seek to build their own skills, experience, and aptitude for social change by attending off-campus workshops, conferences, or other personal development opportunities. These grants are much smaller than the PCSE Seed Grants or Internship Grants (average amount is $250), but there are many more available each year. Eligibility criteria: Any current full-time Wesleyan student is eligible to apply for the grant. Preference is given to students who have engaged with the Patricelli Center and/or who have demonstrated a commitment to social entrepreneurship. Please note: Enrichment Grants are not intended to fund internship experiences. Proposal evaluation process and timeline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. They will be reviewed anonymously by the PCSE staff and/or PCSE Peer Advisors, a committee of Wesleyan students with experience and expertise in social entrepreneurship. Decisions will be made within one month of submission, and applicants will be notified promptly thereafter. Payments will be made upon proof of financial commitment to the enrichment opportunity (e.g. conference enrollment confirmation, plane ticket receipt, etc.). After the enrichment activity concludes, grant recipients will be expected to submit a public blog post about their experience (details provided upon receipt of grant). Assessment Criteria: The Applicant(s): • Purpose/Passion– Applicant exhibits strong passion and commitment for a field with high potential for social impact. • Resilience – Applicant has demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles. • Leadership – Applicant has demonstrated entrepreneurial potential, commitment to social innovation, and involvement in PCSE activities. The Enrichment Opportunity: • Potential for Growth – Opportunity is likely to measurably impact the applicant(s) skills, motivation, and/or network • Reputation – Opportunity is credible and legitimate • Wesleyan Connection – Opportunity may be useful for other Wesleyan students in the future, and applicant(s) participation could possibly increase the likelihood that other Wesleyan students could/would take advantage of it.
