operations. It also covers geometry,
measurement, data, analysis,
probability, problem solving, and
algebraic relationships.
Assessment tools include Power-Up
tests which assess basic facts, skills
and problem solving strategies. It
also includes cumulative tests which
check mastery of concepts from
previous lessons.

3rd GRADE STUDENTS WILL:

Describe properties of parallel, perpendicular lines
Identify acute, obtuse, right or straight angles
Identify polygons by their attributes
Identify geometric solids by their attributes

Use customary and metric units of length, area, volume, weight,
and capacity

Solve perimeter of polygons, area of rectangles, and volume of

off a computer.

Third grade religion is the
chronological study of Bible stories
beginning with the Creation of all
things by God.
Memory is said once a week for a
grade.
Religion
3RD GRADE STUDENTS WILL:
 Students will learn more about God’s love for them by
studying selected Old Testament stories sequentially
beginning with God’s creation
 Students will continue their study into the New Testament
by learning about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection
 Students will learn about the formation of the early church
and Paul’s conversion.
 Students will have weekly memory which includes Bible
passages and the 10 commandments with selected
meanings from Luther’s Small Catechism
