You’ve got inertia Writing great content takes focus, time, and great writing skills. It’s hard to make time for that activity.

You need someone who can talk the talk Some of your company’s most valuable content comes from executives—people with the least amount of time. You need someone who can work with them directly, on their terms, and get up to speed quickly on new ideas.

Deliverables are your pain point You struggle to create content on a constant basis, especially content that shows audiences the origin of a product/service/idea, how it solves a problem and how people are using it to make life easier, sell more, etc.

You have something to say; let’s say it. I write your story so that people know you, understand you, and can share your story.

Analyst background I’ve spent years wading through data and investment opinions and interviewing executives. I’m a skeptic by nature. I can get up to speed quickly on new businesses and business models.

Deep writing experience I am a New York Times bestselling author, I’ve written case studies for Stanford Graduate School of Business, and developed content series for clients engaging in everything from customer experiences to ad tech.

Business orientation I am an expert in industry and company research and understanding a company from a wide variety of angles. I received my MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.

Access to the right people at the right time I pull together just right, just-in-time teams to match your needs and maximize your spend. This includes graphic designers, editors, and videographers.

I create compelling stories and powerful messages that enable your organization to connect with your audience. contact:

Create and Execute a content roadmap

I am the person responsible for thinking about the bigger picture so that you can reach your goals.

Strategic Our arrangement ensures that you don’t take a tactical approach. Working closely with you, I can be proactive and generate ideas on a constant basis. Whether it’s reacting to a change in the market or writing an op-ed, I work with you to quickly respond and make sure the market knows you have a point of view.

Integrated I work with your channels, content, social media, website, lead gen and social marketing teams to make sure we are part of a unified machine.

Inside Outsider You get the benefit of both my knowledge of your business and of an outsider’s perspective. I don’t get bogged down in the day-to-day of your business. I help you evolve your messaging and integrate new ideas/developments as needed.

Ongoing, strategic resource You get an invitation to speak at a high-profile event, contribute to a Wall Street Journal series that highlights your industry, or serve as a guest blogger on a popular site. Not to worry…I’ve got you covered.

Phase 0: Discovery

I learn about your business and background (organizational and personal). We discuss the topics that are most interesting to you and the messages you’d like to relay to various audiences. We establish your position and verify your strategy.

Phase 1 and Beyond

Narratives: I provide a messaging architecture, write seminal pieces and develop key themes. This likely includes a corporate narrative that ensures that everyone in the firm tells the same story.

Maintenance: I help you stay on top of your narrative. We update your content on a weekly, not a daily basis. We work together to maintain and evolve the narrative. It serves as a basis for other communication pieces that I write for you such as articles, presentations, and keynote speeches. Then, I leave you with talking points so that you don’t need training wheels to do routine communications.

We work together as partners. Though I am not a full-time employee, I am always thinking about how you can better communicate your message and raise your profile.
