complete that conversation in a separate meeting.
Workshop – Vision and Mission Statements
KPFP determined to keep the VISION Statement
KPFP MISSION STATEMENT was adjusted to address our new more “wholeistic” approach to Prevention.
VISION:
“Working to create an environment of wellness throughout our
community.”
MISSION:
The mission of the Kings Partnership for Prevention is “to proactively
engage our communities by providing opportunities for healthy life
choices for all county residents, through primary prevention.”
Member Reports: All partners present shared about upcoming events and focus
areas. Brenda encouraged each agency to start emailing this information to the
KPFP Coordinator, to share among the current KPFP partners.
Breakout Sessions for Finance and Communications were unable to occur due
to time constraints, however 15 minutes were devoted to providing direction to
Coordinator for CAPCC Funded Event Direction and Name.
Lisa Watson with First 5 Kings County shared what is happening in Fresno
County, with The Children’s Movement, and there was consensus for “How ARE
the Kids?” as an event title to focus all activity under. She further shared that
this was a strong platform from which KPFP could simply “stand” for each of our
kids (-09mo to 18 for this discussion) to raise awareness community wide and
with policy makers, to always keep our kids in mind, with policy. (Long term goal).
Rates – Statistics – Kings County vs. State.
Breakout –
