I was chosen to go and see Wicked as part of my Bronze Arts Award project. I was proud to be chosen to see this fabulous show! I thought that

Wicked was amazing, a great show and it really was wicked. The production was colourful, pretty, beautiful and really loud. People popped out of every corner and things dropped from the ceiling. Sweets were thrown in to the audience and people were shouting and getting very, very excited. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Wicked tells the story of the witches from the Wizard of Oz. The witch we all think is the wicked witch of the west Elphaba (the bad witch) turns out to be a good witch and the good witch Glinda turns out to be not so good. Also it doesn’t help that Elphaba she has green skin, as she is different from everyone else which makes her seem bad to start with without her even showing that she is bad. After that she runs away as she can’t take it anymore and then her friend comes to find her. Then she refuses to help the wizard with his trick of turning all animals normal again as they used to be able to speak. In it we learn how the characters of the wizard of Oz such as the tin man, the scarecrow and the lion came to be!

The part I enjoyed the most was when the wicked witch of the west helped her sister who was in a wheel chair walk! Also I love the set design and the costumes of the actor who played the citizens of Oz were really amazing also

Elphaba’s makeup looked really real and believable!
