About Harrow International School Bangkok
Harrow International School Bangkok was founded in 1998 as the first Harrow International
School in Asia. It is now a mature and thriving centre of educational excellence, with 1,400
students attending our thirty five acre green field site in North Bangkok, Thailand. All that we
do in our school reflects our mission statement, “Leadership for a Better World”. Whether it be
in lessons, in the pastoral care and guidance of our students, or through the diverse range of
extra-curricular activities on offer, we focus on developing the attributes of our students and
fostering in them a desire to make a positive difference to the community. Our aim is for all of
our students to develop confidently, compassionately and autonomously.
Gap Student Role
We are inviting applications from individuals aged between 18 and 22 to work through the
school year from August 2016 to June 2017. Applicants need to have self-confidence, a
degree of independence, a responsible and flexible attitude and a willingness to be part of a
strong and positive working team. A sense of humour is also useful.
Working as a member of the Boarding House team, you will assist with all aspects of boarding
life, including the organization of activities and trips, the management of daily routines and
supporting the needs of our students both pastorally and academically. Your primary role is
within the boarding community and this takes priority over all other aspects of work within the
wider school community.
During the school day, your role involves supporting a variety of different departments in the
school: assisting with lessons, administration and teaching. We aim to find the best fit for our
gap students by looking at their particular areas of excellence and experience. We are
fortunate to be a school that starts at Kindergarten age and runs all the way up to the study
of A Levels.
This is a great opportunity to have a year working in a highly professional educational
environment, whilst having time to explore the rich culture of Thailand and the South East Asian
