
He was a civil rights activist in 1950 and 1960.

His father and grandfather was a pastor at a local
church.

He was influenced by Mahatma Gandhi because
of his non-violent protests in India.
What Martin Luther King
Jr. did

He gave all African Americans the same rights as
White Americans.

He ended segregation in public schools, protection
from police abuse, and preventing discrimination in
employment.

He gave his “I Have a Dream” speech at the March
