Introduction:
We Are In A Battle!
In order to face any battle triumphantly we must have four realizations:
I. THE PERSECUTED IN THE BATTLE 12:1,2...5,6
II. THE PERSECUTOR IN THE BATTLE 12:3,4
III. THE POWER IN THE BATTLE 12:7-12
IV. THE PROTECTION IN THE BATTLE 12:13-17
We are in a battle! Realize...
I. THE PERSECUTED IN THE BATTLE 12:1,2...5,6
A. God’s Chosen 1,2
*As God’s chosen, we are part of His purpose and plan.
*That plan is bigger than we are.
*Doing God’s will is not always easy.
B. God’s Child 5,6
*This child is Jesus Christ, Israel’s Messiah!
*We as believers are God’s Chosen and God’s Children.
*Satan is always out to get those who help fulfill God’s plan.
*Satan is out to destroy God’s witness.
*Satan had no problem when we belonged to him.
We are in a battle! Realize...
II. THE PERSECUTOR IN THE BATTLE 12:3,4
A. The Ruler 3
*Satan uses people to stop the purposes and plans of God.
*Satan can use leaders and government.
B. The Ruin 4
*Behind the visible is an invisible host that is too strong, and
too well organized for us to defeat.
*Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand
(Eph. 6:12).
We are in a battle! Realize...
III. THE POWER IN THE BATTLE
12:7-12
A. The War In Heaven 7,8
*Satan is the prince of the power of the air.
* (Eph. 2:2)
B. The Winning In Heaven 9-12
1. The Result 9
*The whole world is deceived:
**All philosophies are based on a denial of God’s
Word as supreme, and is replaced with man’s
wisdom.
**How can he deceive the world into rejecting God’s
Word and believing the lie of humanism?
By persuading men that God is not the ultimate
reality and that the universe itself is the only
eternal entity.
**All beliefs of men are humanistic, denying the
absolutes of God and His Word.
**They all exalt man rather than God!
2. The Reaction 10-12
*Worship…Winning…Woe.
*Victory is still gained by the same way: Blood…it has
been applied.
Testimony…take a stand for Jesus.
Committed…100% sold out…
We are in a battle! Realize...
IV. THE PROTECTION IN THE BATTLE 12:14-17
A. Preservation 13-16
*God says, “This far and no farther”
*There hath no temptation take you, but such as is common to
man…will with the temptation make a way of escape that you
may be able to bear it. (I Cor. 10:13)
B. Pressure

Satan doesn’t quit!
Are these characteristics true of us?
1. Faithful To The Word…do what God tells you to do,
when He tells you…
2. Faithful To Witness…Do you have a testimony…do you
take a stand?
These people cause Satan to take notice!
It will cost you something if you follow Jesus Christ!!
