Self esteem develops from the time we are infants all the way up to adulthood
It is harder to change an adult’s self-esteem once it’s set

Self esteem can also be defined as feeling capable while also feeling loved
If you feel loved, but not capable– you may have low self esteem
If you feel capable, but not loved, low self esteem may occur
