VOCABULARY FLASHCARDS DIRECTIONS (DUE THE DAY OF THE TEST)

1.

Write the vocabulary word on the front of the card.

2.

Write the vocabulary word using TWO colors of ink (NOT ink and pencil).

3.

Alternate colors for each letter of the word (for example-1 st letter blue/2 nd letter red/3 rd letter blue/4 th letter red, etc.) This helps you

learn to spell the words correctly.

4.

DO NOT JUST HIGHLIGHT ALTERNATE LETTERS.

5.

Draw a picture that you think hints to the definition. Do NOT Google the word or use someone else’s hint to the definition unless it helps clue YOU into the definition. If you can’t relate the picture to the definition, it won’t help you.

Write the COMPLETE definition on the back of the card.
