The course will provide an introduction to the issues of how energy used by information and communications technology is becoming a major concern in the world and how it can be reduced. The course will also cover the growing demand by government and businesses for computer hardware, software and methods that can be used to monitor and control domestic and industrial energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, and other impacts on the earth’s environment. Marking Scheme: 15% -Participation/Quizzes – Your involvement in class and tutorials is important, be present and contribute for maximum participation marks.
