VICTORY LUTHERAN COLLEGE UNIFORM
School uniform is compulsory and all students are expected to take pride in their appearance and grooming. The uniform
is not a fashion accessory but a means of publicly demonstrating the community to which you belong.
The following policy has been derived taking the following into consideration:
 Safety, especially in regard to sport, science, art and technology sessions
 Health, avoidance of infections
 Building an image of a student who would be accepted in a variety of job interview situations
 A ‘uniform’ is to ensure a uniform appearance, where extremes are not acceptable
Students not in full uniform are required to have a note of explanation, which must be presented to the class teacher
(Primary) or Home Group Teacher (Middle/ Senior School) who will sign the note, and it will then act as a ‘uniform pass’’.
Regardless of a student following the appropriate procedure for being out of uniform this does not give the student the
right to wear anything they like to school. The expectation is that they will look reasonable and presentable. Denim jeans
are not regarded as suitable.
