Project Controls and EVM Specialist RC Engineering and Construction Management (RCECM), headquartered in the Tri-Cities, WA is a dynamic company that provides robust engineering and construction management support services to federal, public works, and environmental industries and clients nationwide. We are currently seeking various levels of project controls and EVMS specialists for fulltime staff positions and project-term assignments on federal projects. Work will primarily be out of Portsmouth, OH, however, work assignments could also be at various locations nationwide. **All candidates must be able to meet site access requirements for federal facilities and be able to obtain a DOE security clearance if required** Responsibilities Plans, schedules and organizes work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards and project controls guidelines Monitoring and reporting actual cost/resource performance against planned budgets Assisting the project management team in developing, monitoring, and updating the budgets, schedules and forecasts for assigned projects Development of scope/deliverables and activities with Project Managers for each task assignment; developing logic, durations and constraints with Project Manager for each task assignment Monitoring and reporting critical path and schedule performance. Updating actual progress and forecasting remaining work schedule. Maintaining and updating scope within Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structure Assisting in the development of options for corrective action, to include performing an analysis upon various alternatives and presenting recommendations to contract and project management Develops and/or assists in the development of cost control, scheduling and earned value management procedures and guidelines Preparing and/or supervising the preparation of various Earned Value Management (EVM) reports Providing cost coding and funds coding information on purchase requisitions and purchase orders Skills Self starter Excellent written and verbal communications skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of meeting deadlines assigned Good understanding of construction practices and market pricing Knowledge of environmental cleanup and remediation highly desired Education/Experience Required BS in business, construction management, or engineering preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience Experience in project controls, including cost/schedule tracking, planning/scheduling, cost estimating, and baseline review Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience Experience using Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra required Proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software; automated and cost management systems Salary depends upon experience.
