Consideration: u-City Sensor Networks

It is essential to consider the expected advance in various types of
Information acquisition device, transmission protocol, and information
processing technology when designing the sensor network system

USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) is an active research area in which there are
many problems to be solved like battery, sensor, wireless ad-hoc network,
embedded s/w, etc.

Implementing issues for the common sensor access network
 In a new city : using optical Network applying PON technology for decreasing maintenance
cost (Passive Optical Network: point-to-multipoint, fiber to the premises network architecture
in which unpowered optical splitters are used to enable a single optical fiber to serve multiple
premises)
 In an existing city: using IT-Pole and wireless network technology such as WiFi Mesh or
WIBEEM (Wireless Beacon-enabled Energy Efficient Mesh network), or IP-USN (Internet
Protocol-Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for minimizing the cost of civil engineering works

Needs solution for the lack of a legal arrangement related with responsible
organization for CCTV monitoring and Invasion of individual’s privacy
