•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:1-7
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and
she conceived and bore Cain, and
said, “I have acquired a man from
the LORD.” 2 Then she bore again, this
time his brother Abel.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:1-7
Now Abel was a keeper of sheep,
but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in the process of time it came
to pass that Cain brought an
offering of the fruit of the ground to
the LORD.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:1-7
4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of
his flock and of their fat. And the
LORD respected Abel and his
offering, 5 but He did not respect
Cain and his offering.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:1-7
And Cain was very angry, and his
countenance fell. 6 So the LORD said
to Cain, “Why are you angry? And
why has your countenance fallen?
7 If you do well, will you not be
accepted?

THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:1-7
And if you do not do well, sin lies at
the door. And its desire is for you, but
you should rule over it.”

•How we view God and
His authority shows the
foundations of our ethics
and our morals.
•Offerings are a tool that
exposes our ethics and
morals.
•THE BIBLE ON MORAL
ETHICS
•God expects us to
overcome our own
selfishness and through His
power, achieve a lifestyle
of “BLAMELESSNESS”.
•THE BIBLE ON MORAL
ETHICS
•When we refuse to
surrender our natural
ideas of morality to God,
we will become abusers,
destroyers and murderers.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:16-24
And the LORD said to him, “Therefore,
whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall
be taken on him sevenfold.” And the
LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone
finding him should kill him.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:16-24
Then Cain went out from the
presence of the LORD and dwelt in
the land of Nod on the east of Eden.
17 And Cain knew his wife, and she
conceived and bore Enoch.
•MORAL ETHICS FROM
THE BIBLE
GENESIS 4:16-24
And he built a city, and called the
name of the city after the name of
his son—Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born
Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and
Mehujael begot Methushael,

and Methushael begot Lamech.
19 Then Lamech took for himself two
wives: the name of one was Adah,
and the name of the second was
Zillah. 20 And Adah bore Jabal.

for hurting me. 24 If Cain shall be
avenged sevenfold,
then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”
•THE BIBLE ON MORAL

•SIN BEGETS SIN. Good
and righteous ethics and
moral living are a
STANDARD, a WALL, a
BULWARK against
destruction. When it is
breached it flows fast.
•THE BIBLE ON MORAL
ETHICS
•SIN creates streams of
decay in relationships.
First, there was murder
between family then
there was unfaithfulness
among husband and
wife.

ETHICS FROM THE BIBLE
GENESIS 9:1-11
So God blessed Noah and his sons,
and said to them: “Be fruitful and
multiply, and fill the earth. 2 And the
fear of you and the dread of you
shall be on every beast of the earth,

on every bird of the air, on all that
move on the earth, and on all the
fish of the sea. They are given into
your hand. 3 Every moving thing that
lives shall be food for you.

GENESIS 9:1-11
I have given you all things, even as
the green herbs. 4 But you shall not
eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
5 Surely for your lifeblood I will
demand a reckoning;

from the hand of every beast I will

you: Never again shall all flesh be

•THE BIBLE ON MORAL
ETHICS
•The believer in Jesus
Christ, who is truly a
committed Christian,
understands that Ethics
and Moral code goes well
beyond human opinion
and societies of man.
•THE BIBLE ON MORAL
ETHICS
•Good, moral, life-giving
ethics comes from
HEAVEN NOT FROM
EARTH.
•Without God, where can
man possibly derive his
MORAL foundations?
•What do you think is a
better world to live in:
one in which man
makes all the rules or
one in which man is
accountable to a
higher power?
•Does the government
of DEMOCRATIC or
REPUBLICS of men
affect MORAL life or
REFLECT moral codes of
society?
•Do the laws of a
society change the
society or does the law
of a society reflect the
society in which they
are made?
•Who is in the best position
to EFFECTIVELY teach an
ethical, moral lifestyle to
our children:
•GOVERNMENT?
•CHURCH?
•SCHOOLS?
•FAMILIES?
