Transformation is a cover band from the Chicago area that plays popular music of many
genres and styles. With 7 incredibly talented musicians, four who aptly handle lead vocals,
Transformation presents versatility in nearly all pop music styles from the 60’s through today.
That includes music from artists such as Vintage Rockers like The Beatles, Aerosmith, U2,
Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, Chicago, John Mayer, Santana, Neil Diamond and more. Other sets
include today’s Country from Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Keith Anderson, Gretchen Wilson,
Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert. Then you can boogie down to R&B/Funk & Disco
from the likes of K.C. and The Sunshine Band, The Commodores, Sly & The Family Stone,
Cee Lo Green, Daft Punk, Robin Thicke, Wilson Picket,Vintage Trouble and more.
The band includes seasoned studio and live professional musicians like Jimi Hornof – Lead
Vocals (DeepSix), Dave Geer – Drums (Who’sWho), Joe Stopka – Guitar/Lead Vocals
(Crawdads, Rif Raf), Bill Protine – Guitar/Lead Vocals (The Rob Post Band), Kyle Johnson
– Keys, Larry Neubauer – Bass and the ever so talented Kristen Jean Geer – Lead
Vocals.

Bios
Jimi Hornof – Whether it be the drawl of Toby Keith, the angst of Eddie Vedder, or the piercing screech of
AC/DC's Brian Johnson, as Transformations front man and lead vocalist, Jimi gives the band "tribute quality"
vocals in every genre! Jimi’s been fortunate to have played with some great players as well as make many
great friends while pursuing his obsession - music. Jim co-founded the band DeepSix and has performed for
significant charity organizations with the band SPAKL.
Dave Geer – A seriously sought after drummer in the Chicagoland area, Dave performs with several
mainstream acts including “Who’sWho”, a formidable Who Tribute Show. Dave also performs with Rex
Carroll and tours with Maron Gaffron.
Joe Stopka – Active as a session guitarist over the past 3 decades Joe ‘s vocal and lead guitar roots are deep
in Chicago’s rich rock heritage performing with Dance R&B band Rif-Raf and New Orleans R&B influenced
Crawdads. Joe has written and produced commercial and industrial music for international corporations and
music libraries. You can catch Joe’s original music on CDBaby.com. Joe’s recent projects include the Beato
Band of L.A. which features Dave Pack (Ambrosia), Steve Porcaro (Toto, Michael Jackson), Rafael Padilla
(Miami Sound Machine/Chris Isaak) and more.
Bill Protine – Also currently featured with another Chicago area favorite, The Rob Post Band, Bill is an
accomplished composer and music producer with a solo CD and has worked with the famous Morris Day
(Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis/Janet Jackson). Bill’s versatility on guitar and vocals along with an incredible wit
adds the perfect edge of fun and excitement to the bands arsenal.
Kyle Johnson – With a diverse background of composing and producing music for the gaming industry as
well as commercial music Kyle offers a depth of experience on keyboards to the Transformation line up. Kyle
brings new soundscape enhancements to the Transformation song list through keyboard technology found
in top recording studios and concert stages of the world.
Larry Neubauer – Holding down the bottom for Transformation, Larry excels at incorporating the perfect
combination of cover song bass lines and his own originality that creates the perfect foundation for the
Transformation sound. A long time resident of the Chicagoland northern suburbs Larry offers his talent to
several church Praise Bands in the area that get the benefit of a true professional player.
Kristen Jean Geer – Offering the perfect edge to the Transformation sound is vocalist Kristen Jean Geer.
Nailing the vocal likings of Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson is just one dimension
of Kristen’s abilities. Transformation gets the incredible enhancement to a fun packed set of
Disco/Funk/R&B from Kristen’s vocals making the Transformation sound truly versatile.
