Mutable mode?
Gemini is a sign of the air and therefore is
concerned with communication, words and the
mind. Geminis will adapt themselves to their
environment and therefore not cause things to
persist.
What element is
Gemini associated with?
It loves freedom, and if captured, it will escape
at the first opportunity.

While air is
light, it
pervades
everything on
earth.
It is (nearly) always free.

Gemini is the 3rd sign of the zodiac.
Gemini goes beyond the Aries need for the raw
energy of survival and the Taurus need to
physically touch and experience the material
world. In Gemini, it is the intellect that man
needs to develop in order to understand the
universe.
Gemini readily adapt to
change.
Gemini react intellectually to
everything they experience in
life.

Gemini are said to have a dual nature, as symbolized by
twins. This duality also represents exchange and
interaction. The sign of Gemini is closely associated with
exchange of ideas, communication, and trade.

Now, Castor and
Pollux are a most
peculiar pair of
twins in myth.
This is largely
because, although
both are brave and
clever
warriors,
one of them is
human and one is
divine.
This myth, playful as
it sounds, gives us a
lot of insight into the
deeper meaning of
Gemini. There’s often
an awareness of a
highly spiritual and
ethereal
kind
in
Gemini.
You can’t interfere with Gemini’s cycle, or expect him to
change it. He needs his period of collision with mortality
just as he needs to breathe the scent of the Olympian
heights. This cycle is his alone, and you’re very foolish if
you think he’s doing it against you or because of you.

Gemini is only found in the triangle of Ray II and at this time, Virgo
and Pisces are carrying the major task of transmitting second ray
energy. Today the world is focused (spiritually or materially) and the
fluctuations of the pairs of opposites are much lessened temporarily.
Gemini, therefore, is the inactive point of the triangle, though still
potent from the esoteric angle of the individual disciple or initiate.

This is the story of the individual Christ, crucified upon the
cross of matter, and incarnated in each human being, God,

The Labors of Hercules
The Labours of Hercules was written
in 1936 by Alice Bailey wherein
Hercules needs to complete 12
tasks—one in each sign.
The Labor in Gemini
Gathering the Golden Apples
Hercules is directed to search for the sacred tree
of wisdom and to pick its golden apples. Hercules
is also told that this labor holds five great tests,
each affording scope for wisdom, understanding
and skill, but that unless he is vigilant, he may fail
to recognize them.

Interpretation of the myth
In this labor, the element of time is significant, also failure,
but followed by eventual victory. The mission is clear: “Let
Hercules unfold the power to search without
discouragement, deception or too great a speed. Let
perseverance now be called upon.” This test underlines the
fact that the disciple must become a living illustration of
his or her spiritual vision. All subjective and mental effort
is to be worked out on the physical plane, for it is here that
the “mechanism of contact” is developed and knowledge is
transmuted into wisdom.
Further Comments
These golden apples echo the one apple in the
story of the Garden of Eden: whereas that apple
symbolizes separation through the knowledge of
good and evil, these apples represent plurality and
the synthesis of the many, nourished by the One
Tree of Life. The journey from Eves single apple to
the many of Hercules is one of understanding
through the application of knowledge, in the light
of wisdom, to the problems of life.

The time of the full moon there is a direct alignment

In our meditation this evening, let us visualize a common
goal for humanity. Groups of men and women of goodwill
bonding together to support right-human values. Let us
use our magical powers of manifestation, and see this
happen. Leaders and ordinary people alike, afire with
goodwill and humanitarian vision, acting in concert for the
good of mankind as a whole.
