WAKE UP!
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the
dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life; and man became a living being.
8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in
Eden, and there He put the man whom He had
formed. 9 And out of the ground the LORD God
made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight
and good for food. The tree of life was also in the
midst of the garden, and the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. 10 Now a river went
out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it
parted and became four riverheads. 11 The name
of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the
whole land of Havilah, where there is gold
. 12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium
and the onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the
second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes
around the whole land of Cush. 14 The name of
the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which
goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river
is the Euphrates. 15 Then the LORD God took the
man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend
and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded
the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you
may freely eat; 17 "but of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for
in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said: "I will
greatly multiply your sorrow and your
conception; In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband, And he
shall rule over you." 17 Then to Adam He said,
"Because you have heeded the voice of your wife,
and have eaten from the tree of which I
commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it':
"Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you
shall eat of it All the days of your life. 18 Both
thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And
you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat
of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to
the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust
you are, And to dust you shall return."
Genesis 3:14 So the LORD God said to the
serpent: "Because you have done this, You are
cursed more than all cattle, And more than every
beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And
you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15 And
I will put enmity Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed; He shall
bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
Isaiah 30:8 Now go, write it before them on a
tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for
time to come, Forever and ever: 9 That this is a
rebellious people, Lying children, Children who
will not hear the law of the LORD; 10 Who say to
the seers, "Do not see," And to the prophets, "Do
not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us
smooth things, prophesy deceits.
1 Samuel 15:24 Then Saul said to Samuel, "I
have sinned, for I have transgressed the
commandment of the LORD and your words,
because I feared the people and obeyed their
voice.

Society wants us all to accept these softer
descriptions of sin and wants us to exchange our
Bibles for what is found in the man made book
called, “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders” which is published by the
American Psychiatric Association.
Genesis 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the
wickedness of man was great in the earth, and
that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry
that He had made man on the earth, and He was
grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, "I will
destroy man whom I have created from the face
of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing
and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have
made them." 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes
of the LORD.
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not
shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy,
That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have
separated you from your God; And your sins have
hidden His face from you, So that He will not
hear.
Psalm 51:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of
David when Nathan the prophet went to him,
after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy
upon me, O God, According to Your
lovingkindness; According to the multitude of
Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And
cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my
transgressions, And my sin is always before me.
The Bible defines sin as lawlessness (1 John 3:4)
and unrighteousness (1 Jn. 5:17).
James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted,
"I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be
tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt
anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is
drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15
Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth
death.
Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or
God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still
pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of
Christ.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love
toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now
been justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were
enemies we were reconciled to God through the
death of His Son, much more, having been
reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And
not only that, but we also rejoice in God through
our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
now received the reconciliation.
Jesus says we must believe:
John 8:24 "Therefore I said to you that you will
die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am
He, you will die in your sins."
Jesus also said, we must repent:
Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent
you will all likewise perish.
Jesus also says we must confess Him as our Lord:
Matthew 10:32" Therefore whoever confesses Me
before men, him I will also confess before My
Father who is in heaven. 33 "But whoever denies
Me before men, him I will also deny before My
Father who is in heaven.
Jesus said we must be baptized to be saved:
Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will
be saved
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and
let every one of you be baptized in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you
shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 22:16 'And now why are you waiting? Arise
and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling
on the name of the Lord.‘
1 Peter 3:21 There is also an antitype which now
saves us -- baptism
