“Recovery and Reconstruction Programs for Rural and Disadvantage Population of Haiti post
Earthquake 2010”, funded by private donors
- Direct team management of country's programs and grant projects implementation all over the
country in implementing reconstruction of small and medium scale building which include
construction of 500 new houses, schools, orphanage, waste water systems, rural water and sanitation
facilities and energy supplies, rehabilitation of 300 houses, as well as implementation of health, DRR,
livelihood and educational projects
- Plan and design the programs policy and strategies in accordance with Haiti' strategy and quarterly
targets
- Formulated and released project proposals & budget for approval of the HQ and mobilize program’s
financial resource
- Provided technical support on any program issues: financial, architectural and engineering, quality
control and maintenance plans and other related issues.
- Monitored and evaluated all ongoing and planned programs and grant projects and developed
alternative strategies where necessary.
- Developed and facilitated trainings on “Project Management”, “Security in the Field” and “Team
Management”
- Ensure smooth transition of the projects and office operational from emergency to recovery by
establishing appropriate policy and system
“Construction, furnishing and equipping of 15 new schools which also function as Cyclone shelters and
food distribution in remote areas of Delta - Myanmar”, the projects were carried out in 2 phases and
were funded by BMZ (German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development), WFP and
private donors
- Designed the concept, proposal, internal planning, need assessment and implementation
management plan of schools construction project with the focus on disaster prevention and
sustainable construction techniques using local available materials
- Manage and supervise the implementation of whole process including tendering process, quality
control and direct site supervision of the schools construction and schools’ sanitation and hygiene
facilities such as rain water collection tanks, toilet and water conservation (leach field)
- Established project’s progress monitoring and quality control mechanism and reporting system
- Implemented community base approach through involvement and participation of school
committees in the implementation process
- Developed school buildings maintenance plans and guideline and provided technical trainings for
staff, schools committee and local contractors to ensure the proper maintenance post construction.
- Develop remote schools construction standard for delta and cyclone prone areas together with
Myanmar’ schools technical working group consist of NGOs involved in school construction projects
- Coordinated a food security project for 13.000 beneficiaries over 5 month
- Provided technical advice on construction of rural water supply in delta areas

“Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Supports from Help-ev for the victims of the Earthquake on remote
and underdeveloped Nias Island – Indonesia”, funded by ADB and Aktion Deutschland Hilft (Germany’s
Relief Coalition)
- Coordinate and supervise the rehabilitation of 210 houses in remote areas (need assessment,
proposal, recommendations and implementation).
- Monitor and advice the construction of 450 new houses (focus on capacity building, disaster
prevention and sustainable construction techniques)
- Coordinate WatSan department in construction of rural water facilities through implementation of
gravity feed water systems evaporation field and WatSan facilities: latrines, washing places and

Buildings”, “Hygiene Promotion” and “First Aid”.

- Coordinated and ensured the involvement of Ministry of Health in planning and selection of design
and location for future construction
- Planned and implemented the construction of medical health facilities: midwifery, policlinics and

of energy and disturbance of the surrounding environment
- Designed and implemented construction of gravity feed water systems and rural water management

- Coordinated the Logistic department during the emergency response after the earthquake in
Yogyakarta May 2006
Carried out study on collective experiences in the reconstruction of residential and small scale buildings
in Indonesia and Sri Lanka with the focus on the possibilities to implement the disaster prevention
systems. The study also includes the constructional and institutional point of view as well as
administrative needs. This study was carried out together with Dr.-Ing. M.S. Peter Gotsch, an Architect,
Urban Planner and Researcher; founded by BMZ (German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation
