Follow Directions
One morning, Justin's mother gives him money to buy milk.
Justin walks up the hill to the big street. Near the school he sees
his friend Kip. Kip has a big box.
"What's in there?" asks Justin his eyes big. He is staring hard at the box.
"It's a new toy car! It's like the one you want. My father gave it to me for
my birthday," says Kip.
Justin dashes to the toy store as fast as he can. He stares at the cars and
thinks, "Maybe my mother will forget about the milk. I will buy a red car
with the money."
Justin goes home, but Justin's mother does not forget. She yells at Justin.
Justin’s eyes fill with tears. Justin has to go back to the toy store and give
back the car. He drags his feet as he walks out the door. His mother never
sends him for milk again!
