Sub-Committee Application Form
The SAC is looking for interested students of any grade to be in one or more of our sub-committee teams.
Candidates must approach one (1) adult individual, for a reference. This is including, but not limited to:
coaches, teachers, principals, out-of-school program leaders, etc. Applications are judged by the President,
Grade Representatives, and Staff Advisor(s) through a formal judging process based on creativity,
originality, and ability.
Application Due Date: Friday, September 19th, 2014
Drop-Off Location & Time: Room 100 by 3:30PM
Notification Date: Friday, September 26th, 2014
Location: Posted in front of the Main Office
Staff Advisor: Mr. Duncan (Room 100/Across from Guidance)
Staff Administrator, Principal: Mr. Mavraganis (Office)

DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS AS PER COMMITTEE

Advertising
-Involved in the promoting and advertising of
any events or activities in forms of
commercials, posters, announcements, etc.
-Maintaining and updating the SAC boards
around the school accordingly to events
-Attend required meetings as called for by the
Public Relations Officer or President
-Involved in tasks before an event or activity
such as BBQ, Semi-Formal, etc.
-Attend required meetings as called for by the
President or Vice President(s)
-Participate/Aid in SAC related events and
activities

-Involved in the planning of any events or
activities to promote school spirit
-Creating and maintaining a high level of
school spirit
-Organizing Spirit days through the calendar
year
-Attend required meetings as called for by the
Spirit Convenor or President
Application Requirements
Submit 1 of the following for Semi-Formal theme
 Poster Design
 Announcement
 PowerPoint Slide (for front Television)
 Another approved method
Electronic visuals can be e-mailed
Tell us how you will be a good addition writing about
a combination of the following
 Skills (e.g Leadership, Communication)
 Experiences (e.g Club Leader, etc.)
 What you want to do in 10 years
 Hobbies, interests
Please keep it a maximum of 300 words
Submit a written form of activity or event that you
would host if selected. Include the following:
 What: Name of Event
 Where: Location (e.g front foyer, gym, etc.)
 Why: Purpose of event/activity
 Who: Approximate number of attendees
 Other: Any additional info (e.g. Charity donation,
decoration involved, etc.)
