ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
INSTRUCTION







Practice set prepared was used by all Accy 111 and Acctg 111 (Fundamentals of
Accounting I) classes.
Tutorial sessions were conducted to first year Accountancy and Accounting
Technology students who will take the 2015 Accountancy Qualifying Exam.
Classroom lectures were conducted by Mr. Ariel Q. Ighot, Ms. Jennifer L. Seridon
and Ms. Weny C. Panganiban.
BS Accountancy students took the NDEA Qualifying Exam last February 28,
2015.
Practiced team teaching and team mentoring among faculty members from the
BA and Accountancy Departments in the composition of students of feasibility
study
Created linkages between the students and faculty of BA and HRM Departments
in the conduct of seminar on business personality and etiquette and on the actual
fine-dining activity
Deployed OJT students to different industry partners of the university
Facilitated and prepared the educational tour/trip of graduating students in Davao
City, Gen San and South Cotabato.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT






Ms. Michelle D. Fampulme, CPA is done with her final defense at NDDU for her
MBA last February 18, 2015. She has submitted her paper for final review. She
is set to graduate by April 2015.
Ms. Jennifer L. Seridon, CPA and Miss Rean May Galang were done with their
proposal defense in March 4, 2015.
Ms. Weny C. Panganiban, CPA, MBA and Miss Sheila M. Bayquin, MS Econ are
expected to finish their academic requirements in ADDU for their DBA. They
intend to take a comprehensive exam this summer 2015.
Miss Meriel Arado graduated her MBA non-thesis from NDDU last October 2014.
Mr. Dave Punzalan is expected finished his academic requirements in October
2015 from MSU Gen San.
Invited Dr. Roberto C. Dacanay, CPA as Resource Speaker from Rex Bookstore
Publishing House Manila. His topics was 21st Century Skills in an ASEAN
Integration.

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants organized a tribute to the
graduates of BSA March 2014 who all passed the October 2014 CPA board
exam. The result of NDMU alumni is as follows:

The JPIA NDMU participated in the RFJPIA convention held in Gen. Santos City
last November, 2014.
Small group tutorial sessions were conducted by JPIA.
JPIA NDMU and Philippine Institute of Accountants (PICPA), South Cotabato
Chapter conducted joint activity such as the Career Orientation Seminar held last
January 10, 2015 at the SMC Hall.
Forty six (46) BA students attended the 1st NDEA Business Congress and
attended the Seminar on the 21st Century skills.
Fifth year Accountancy students extended technical help to the 1st NDEA
Business Congress hosted by the Notre Dame of Marbel University as tabulators
for all events.
Accountancy students participated in the 2015 NDEA Mock Board Examinations.
Eight board subjects were taken for two Saturdays and Sundays of February.
The exam is a simulation of the actual CPA Board Exam.
Students developed products and exhibited it during the Business Bazaar on
September 2014
Students participated in the Greenweaver Trade Fair during T’Nalak Festival in
the Province of South Cotabato on July 2014
Students participated in the seminar on business personality and etiquette and
on the actual fine-dining activity (September 2014)
Educational tour of the graduating students in two (2) companies in the Province
of South Cotabato and (2) companies in General Santos City (February 11,
2015) and in 7 companies in Davao City (February 11-13, 2015)
Participation of students in the preparation and by giving assistance during the 1 st
NDEA Business Congress held in NDMU (February 25-26, 2015)

HRM students were the Champion in Flower Arrangement, Mini Chefs,
Bartending, Table Skirting during the 1St NDEA Business Congress at NDMU
dated February 25-26, 2015
HRM students attended the 3rd Hospitality management Industry Forum @ SM in
General Santos City.
CURRICULUM





BSA and BSAT program objectives and syllabus were partially revised to align to
OBE.
Pre –enrolment was conducted to students in February 16-20, 2015 in
preparation for Summer 2015 and FS 2015-2016
BSBA Curriculum was revised in June 2014 and was implemented in 2nd
semester of SY 2014-2015
MM 144 (Special Topics in Marketing Management) focuses on Event Organizing
Implemented the 2-semester research course on the 2nd Semester SY 20142015
RESEARCH





Research outputs of BSA students in their research class participated in the 2015
Research Week events. Two (2) groups joined the poster event and another two
(2) participated in the research presentation.
Conducted enrichment sessions to the faculty members about: (1) developing a
research problem; and (2) the use of APA style in research
Focus group discussion (FGD) among faculty members regarding the standards
and rules on the technical aspect of research and the process of teaching and
mentoring student-researchers
Presentation of selected students during the University Research Forum,
Business Category on February 27, 2015
Students enrolled in MM 138 (Methods of Research) presented their Research
Proposal in preparation for their Research 2 class in the First Semester, SY
2015-2016.
COMMUNITY EXTENSION





JPIA together with PICPA South Cotabato conducted an outreach program last
March 1, 2015 at St. Lawrence Kalinga Center in Bo. 6, Koronadal, South
Cotabato. Two faculty members joined the group.
JIAT officers and their moderator conducted an outreach activity at the Reception
and Study Center for Children (RSCC) at the Purok Nursery, Maibu, Tantangan,
and South Cotabato last February 22, 2015.
Officers of JPMA and PCSI participated in the two (2) collegiate community
extension activities in Santa Cruz Mission School Incorporated (SCMSI) in Lake
Sebu
Club of Hotel and Restaurant Management Students conducted a Community
Extension Program at Sta. Cruz Mission School – February 28, 2015
CBASC and student clubs collected toiletries items during the signing of
Clearance. These items shall be distributed to the beneficiaries of the CBA
Extension Program.
