Many adverbs end in “ly”

o She responded very quickly.

Some adverbs do not end in “ly”
o I am very tired.

o Where?
• Alice got lost on her way to the store so she turned around.
• Where did she turn? “around”
o How much? To what extent?
• The weights are too heavy.
• How much are they heavy? “too”
