a VTAC User

You’ll need:

(address, date of birth etc)
• VCAA student #
• PIN (usually DoB)
•You’ll need to provide
information about
yourself and where you
are studying Yr 12 so
that VTAC can match
you with information on
VASS

Once you’ve logged in…
Your Preferences
• Think VERY carefully !!
• Allocate in order of your
preference - not ATAR
• Maximum of 12 (per State)
• Can be offered one CSP and one DFP course (per
State).
• ‘Second Round offers’ are scarce
• You must have a ‘safety net’ course on your list !
Have a ‘Plan B’
• Similar course but at a 2nd-choice institution
• Transfer strategy

 One institution to another
 TAFE
University
Possible but not guaranteed.
• Use Open Days as an opportunity to ask
Scholarships

• If you accept a Main Round offer you are still
eligible for a Round 2 offer
• To reject your offer, do nothing at all… but

from VTAC. Take to selection officer of the tertiary
institution. Only one allowed. Once signed, it overrides all other preferences.
